Jamie Oliver Sweet Potato & Chorizo Soup

Tried this soup the other day in Kays in Dublin. Thought it was interesting and went looking for the instructions, came across these and was astonished with the result. This Homemade soup is much better than the soup i tried earlier. Got compliments from all the family, which is rare!
The Game Plan
I have used these ingredients and went about it in a little different way.
- Cut everything into squares( apart from garlic & parsley of course!). Use separate dishes: one for sweet potato,another for celery,carrots, parsley & garlic, and another one for chorizo sausage.
- Separately put a little bit of water ( 5-8cm )into a large saucepan on medium heat and add two chicken stock cubes.
- Lightly fry the sweet potato cubes and season with the curry powder, once half cooked add this to the sauce pan. Then in the same frying pan lightly fry the rest of the vegetables and add same to the sauce pan.
- Lastly is the diced meat. Same process: fry and move to the sauce pan.
Don't forget to stir the content of the saucepan every so often.
Salt to taste ( I would usually add a almost full table spoon of salt)
Finally add the finely chopped one red chilli to the saucepan and leave to simmer.
I prefer this soup without blending but this is really a personal preference.
